John showed this to me about a week ago - what an incredible story! We often think that in order to forgive we also need to forget which can be the hardest part when something truly hurts us. We need to remember God's grace and mercy - I believe if we forgive others, He'll do the rest in our hearts to help us to heal like He did in this woman's life. I think personally I wouldn't be able to do what she did, but it's a strong reminder of the kind of person I want to become as I grow in my own faith. I hope others benefit from the story like I did and I'll never forget it every time I hear the song - thanks for sharing :) [Jess]
Wow, what an incredible story and what an amazing song to get us to cry out to God. I believe God is bringing everything out into the light, so we can walk in the freedom He paid so dearly for us. Forgiveness does set us free and no, we do not have to have amnesia, but I have found that when we do forgive, we are released from the pain that held us captive in unforgiveness. Hurting people, hurt people. The question for me was, how can I be unforgiving towards anyone, when He has forgiven me everything?
